Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Lavender Cottages, set amongst orchards, offering spectacular views of the Elgin Valley, renowned for its fruit, many wine estates and gourmet restaurants.
Relax on the rose and vine covered verandah in front of your cottage and watch the sun go down, or enjoy the cosy comfort of your own log fire.
Each self catering cottage has beamed ceilings, an open plan living area, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, is well equipped and charmingly decorated.
Lavender Cottages are conveniently situated - less than an hour from Cape Town, ¾ hour from Hermanus, 1 hour from Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and most tourist sites.
Several golf courses are within easy reach.

What to do in the area
Farmstalls offer fresh produce, wholesome country food, crafts and curios. Visit the beautiful, private gardens during Open Gardens (last weekend of October and first weekend of November)

Accommodation Types
Lavender 1 Cottage: Accommodates 1 couple, has doublebed, bathroom ensuite, kitchen/sittingroom with fireplace. Self catering. BBQ in garden.
Lavender 2 Cottage: Accommodates 4 guests, has 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with twin beds. Please note that it is suited to a family due to the fact that the bathroom is off the main bedroom. Self catering.
Lavender 3 Cottage: Bigger cottage, accommodates 4 guests, has bedroom with double bed, the other bedroom has twin beds. Shared bathroom. Self catering. BBQ.
Libertas House: Accommodates 8 guests. Has 4 Provencale bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite. Fully equipped farm kitchen. Large comfortable sittingroom with fireplace / TV.
Libertas House is a self catering establishment (continental breakfast by arrangement only).

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
