Cheverells Farm Cottages are two self catering cottages set in the Orchards on a working Apple and Pear Farm in the Elgin Valley, South Africa. Cottages offer quaint, cosy and comfortable accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Elgin Valley. Our farm is conveniently positioned close to major wedding venues, mountain bike adventure trails and trail running sites. Whether you are looking to escape the city for an active weekend spent discovering Elgin Valley's world-class adventure trails and wine-farms and bountiful birdlife or if you are wanting to spend your time relaxing and recharging your batteries by savouring up the fresh country air and overlooking the spectacular views.Our self catering farm cottages have something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming you to come and enjoy an authentic farm experience! Each self catering cottage is tastefully decorated in a rustic French country style, while offering the small luxuries of Nespresso Coffee machines, percale linen, electric blankets (for winter months), complementary toiletries, breakfast cereals and farm style rusks to enjoy with your morning coffee. Selborne and Catherine Boome invite you to come and enjoy a night or two out in the country. Experience self catering heaven in the heart of the Elgin Valley near Grabouw in the Overberg / Whale Coast region. We offer 3 cottages and a farmhouse, all on a self catering basis, set amongst orchards, offering spectacular views of the Elgin Valley, renowned for its fruit, many wine estates and gourmet restaurants. Relax on the rose and vine covered verandah in front of your cottage and watch the sun go down, or enjoy the cosy comfort of your own log fire. Each self catering cottage (Lavender Cottages 1,2 and 3) have beamed ceilings, an open plan living area, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, well equipped and charmingly decorated. For larger families/groups we offer Libertas House: Accommodates 8 guests. Has 4 Provencale bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite. Fully equipped farm kitchen. Large comfortable sitting room with fireplace / TV. Libertas House is a self catering establishment, however continental breakfast can be ordered (by arrangement only). Our self catering accommodation is conveniently situated in the Elgin Valley area which is less than an hour from Cape Town, ¾ hour from Hermanus, 1 hour from Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and most tourist sites. Several golf courses are within easy reach of the Elgin Valley.

Grabouw

The little village of Grabouw lies in the Elgin Valley, sandwiched between the Groenland and Kogelberg mountains and is the commercial centre for apples ± 65% of South Africa's export apples are produced here. Only an hour's drive from Cape Town brings one over the Hottentots-Holland mountains into the fertile Elgin Valley, a magical stretch of forest, orchards, vineyards and greenery renowned not only for its fruit but also for its wine.

Known by the locals as Elgin-Grabouw because the railway station, called Elgin, was better known than the town, Grabouw, the town is named after the Grabow village in Germany. The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving.
The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
